"A Third Person Act" (poetry collection, in development)
A series of poems examining philosophical and spiritual questions within the cultural context of being a young woman in the 21st century.
An eternal dismay, she consumes me
as I sink, deeper, I float away.
But I see a light, a tiny glimmer
to the bay. It’s quite vast I might
say. Broken glass, it’s icy. I’ve
learned how to drown, how to wail,
scream, be proud, but I’ve found my
way, far far away...
He's always watching,
I sit here and think,
he's always there.
I brace for impact,
a violent fall.
He waits to catch me,
God's fallen angel.
